To continue to effectively manage and expand the operations of the DEFCU, the board has approved the creation of a Chief Executive Officer leadership role to help achieve the vision of the DEFCU becoming the preferred financial service provider for all members. In addition to ensuring the credit union’s financial stability, the leader will establish short- and long-term objectives, strategies and tactics to propel the DEFCU toward fulfilling its mission of providing superior value, unparalleled access and differentiated financial services to all members.

Your Funds: Safe and Insured

The shares in your credit union are insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), an arm of NCUA. Established by Congress in 1970 to insure member share accounts at federally insured credit unions, the NCUSIF is managed by NCUA under the direction of the three-person NCUA Board. Your share insurance is similar to the deposit insurance protection offered by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The NCUA Share Insurance Estimator is an educational resource about share insurance and gives a detailed explanation of insurance coverage. Shared Branching

May 1st members need to use the Darden EFCU name when they visit a shared branch!

 

You now have access to over 2,700 service centers in 41 states and 5 foreign locations. You can use the locations to:

  • Make a deposit
  • Withdraw cash
  • Make loan payments

Withdrawals made at a Shared Branching facility by members with savings and club accounts only (no checking account) will be charged $3.00 per withdrawal - after 1 free withdrawal per month. Withdrawals from Holiday Club Accounts are not allowed at Shared Branching.


All you will need is your 4-digit savings account number and a valid driver's license or state ID. Visit www.creditunion.net to find the location nearest you.
